It all eventually got sorted out, but I did enter the spa the opposite of relaxed as a result - and a little annoyed at the humiliation/questioning with other guests right there in earshot. In general, trying to use the annual Platinum spa credit was an exercise in frustration the two times we did it the Rewards Desk would only attach it at a certain time and everyone basically said slightly different things about when/how it could be attached, being required to make a reservation first, etc., culminating with my partner's presence unexpectedly being required at the spa when that had not been the case last year at Encore. My partner, a Wynn Platinum member, has gifted me his $100 credit to use each year because he's not a spa person, but when I told them this at spa check-in, they (politely) claimed he needed to be there because they've been having issues with "theft." I'd already shown both our Platinum rewards cards with photo ID, so I hope the staff doesn't routinely suspect their Platinum members of thievery. But still, if you can only choose one of the two experiences, go to Encore. One of the plunge pools was supposedly heated to 80+ degrees but they both felt equally chilly. Compared to Encore, the jacuzzi area is much smaller and the decor in the lounge facilities feels a bit more dated to me. Therapist asked where my trouble spots were but spent no extra time on those spots. We spent over $2500 as a group at this spa and this kind of treatment is so disappointing. My sisters had great treatments here, and the amenities are awesome, but you shouldn’t hear a client tell you they were anxious and counting down the minutes until the massage was over and only offer them 30% off when they’re guests at your hotel and are paying $1000 a night. For a spa of this caliber and at this price, you should not be okay with this kind of service. I think the worst part though was the customer service - when I told them about my experience (and that I also felt really uncomfortable after having to repeat the pressure I wanted and getting no check-ins during the treatment) they told me they could give me 30 percent off and that was it. I was counting down the seconds until it was over and will have to book another massage when I get home to address the problem areas I asked hint to focus on that still are tight and in pain. It felt like when he was massaging my hands and feet that he was simply rubbing lotion on me. The areas I told him to focus on (my shoulders and low back) were touched for maybe 10 of the 80 minutes and the pressure was medium at best even when I asked him to increase pressure. When we started I told him I wanted very hard pressure. Treatments and facilities: Awarded the coveted Forbes Five-star Award, The Spa at Wynn & Encore boasts dozens of luxurious treatment rooms, with designs inspired by an exotic Moroccan retreat. The decor and multiple rooms (between sitting rooms, treatment rooms, saunas, etc) take you away from all the chaos of Vegas and into a truly relaxed. All the staff is very helpful, friendly and respectful. It was suggested I get the good luck ritual when I called, and I was told I could still get deep pressure from the therapist. The Spa at Encore is the definition of luxury.you don’t even remotely feel like you are in a casino from the moment you walk in. or one of its affiliates.Had a pretty horrible experience at the Wynn spa today.
